The stocks to watch for Friday:Novavax (NVAX) - the small biotech remains an interesting play at prices below $1.50. As ongoing trials progress through Phase 2 and 3, Novavax is moving closer to catalysts that could boost the stock. As Novavax approaches 6 months from trial results, one should expect the biotech stock to start heating up. Weatherford Int'l (WFT) - the stock closed down another 1.4% today. The oilfield services laggard remains an interesting buy right below $6 where the moving averages converge on this chart. Remember that the new CEO from Halliburton (HAL) doesn't start up over a month from now so his impact won't be felt until next quarter. Acacia Communications (ACIA) - watch out below as optical supplier Finisar (FNSR) is down some 17% on disappointing guidance. The likelihood exists that Acacia plunges below $50 and down to $40 in the next month. No reason to fight the downtrend here. Ultra Beauty (ULTA) - one of the darlings in the retail space hit a speed bump in after-hours trading. Remember that Ulta traded down to $80 in early 2014 and traded up to $280 recently. With the department stores shifting focus towards beauty supplies, Ulta could face some headwinds to the exceptional growth of the last few years, but guidance doesn't really reflect that scenario with comp sales guidance of at least 8% for the year. The dip won't be far with those numbers.
