Walt Disney Co DIS's move to control its own streaming platform isn't appreciated by many investors given the stock's recent weakness. But why investors are concerned is "beyond us," says Wells Fargo's Marci Ryvicker. Disney's story is "still so misunderstood" as there are many positive moving pieces, Ryvicker commented in a research report. Of particular importance is the fact that a move to its own streaming platform at a cost of $9.99 per month to consumers would be worth $30 per share — or at the very least $10 per share in an ultra-conservative scenario. Also, the incremental cost to Disney for its streaming platform would be at most $300 million. SourceSome upside still holds. $DIS, Walt Disney Company (The) / H1
