Beijing is threatening to impose tariffs on another batch of U.S. products if President Donald Trump's administration follows through with a second round of levies on China, state-run Xinhua News Agency reported Tuesday. The tit-for-tat warning came after Trump said he would ask his administration to identify to a new list of $200 billion in Chinese goods that would be penalized with tariffs, in addition to the $50 billion already in hand. A spokesperson from China's Ministry of Commerce said China will have no choice but to take comprehensive measures in response to the U.S.'s trade moves, according to Xinhua. "The trade war waged by the United States is against both the law of the market and the development trend of today' s world. It undermines the interests of the Chinese and American people, the interests of companies and the interests of the people all over the world," said the spokesperson, according to the report. Trump on Monday warned that he may ask his administration to identify tariffs on another $200 billion of Chinese imports, sparking fears the world's two largest economies may plunge into a trade war.via
