Surfline Communications has launched Ghana's first 4G data network thanks to a partnership with French tech company Alcatel Lucent. Ghana is now the sixth country in sub Saharan Africa to get high speed internet service. The pre paid data is currently available in the capital and a port city named Tema, but the company plans to offer the service nation wide within two years. Chairman John Taylor said, "We want to fill the void by providing high speed connectivity to facilitate e-education, e-commerce and facilitate long distance activities especially by people living outside the cities."
