Priceline is buying OpenTable for $2.6 billion. Priceline paid $103 per share for the company. OpenTable share were at $70.43 a closing so thats a 46% premium. Priceline is a popular for booking hotel and flight reservations, while OpenTable is used to book restaurant reservations. Darren Huston, PriceLine CEO said, "The kind of work that we do day to day is a very similar, It's just a different marketplace."
