Facebook Inc is opening its internal user profiles that underpin its targeted advertising systems, including personal information based on activities that did not occur within the confines of its social network. While Facebook has maintained internal profiles of users based on comments they make and the posts they "like" within its social network. The enhanced profiles will allow for more direct and relevant ads from marketers. So if a Facebook user searches a new tv show on another website that isn't Facebook, their profile will let marketers know to target that user.
