Apple has stopped production of the iPhone 5c at a Foxconn factory in Northern China. Instead Apple is having the factory switch to producing more iPhone 5s'. The iPhone 5c hasn't been as much of a success as it was expected and has been dwarfed by the iPhone 5s. The $500 price tag for the iPhone 5c without a contract also has hurt its chances of making any headway in the smart phone market. It was first speculated that the iPhone 5c was Apple's attempt to gain volume in the mid market for smart phones but its clear that wasn't Apple's plan. So the iPhone 5c is basically the little brother to the more powerful iPhone 5s, and with both phones being expensive it doesn't make much sense as to why anyone would choose the iPhone 5c.
