In line with the thoughts outlined in this article, I entered the following good-till-canceled buy orders in my account this morning.DGRO - $28.76HDV - $79.12IEFA - $52.61ITOT - $52.33 (a modest add) and $49.58 (twice the amount of the $52.33 order)Briefly, those ETFs cover the Total U.S. Market, Dividend Growth, High Yield, and the Developed International Market. The orders for DGRO, HDV and IEFA are set at 7.5% below the recent high in each ETF. The dual orders for ITOT are set at 5% and 10% below recent highs. In total, then, I will 'dip my toe in the water' at approximately a 5% correction, add some dividend and international exposure at roughly a 7.5% correction, and do a substantial U.S. addition if we experience a 10% correction.Based on recent market highs, I have lightened somewhat on U.S. stocks and taken a defensive stance. I will also be going on vacation in a couple of months. These orders will allow me to reallocate those funds into the market at levels I have pre-decided, even if I am on vacation when this happens, with my focus on enjoying sights much more interesting than a stock ticker.
