No surprise that a Disney company is doing well :) I keep emphasizing to put Disney in your retirement portfolio because is truly one of the safest stocks to build your portfolio around. The properties they own, ABC, ESPN, etc. are unstoppable in the US market and worldwide. ABC is reaping the benefits! Although Alessandrodiroma says, "I've had DIS since 2011. I was surprised to see this morning that it was on the top, 2nd to only AT&T on the Goldman list of largest short positions held by hedge funds. It seems that its not new on the list either. So, maybe short covering has helped buoy the stock somewhat as well? Anybody have any insights into this?" And Nicholas Ward from SeekingAlpha "I think the large run up and above average valuation has sometime to do this this. When looking at the stock from a purely fundamental standpoint - this isn't a buy (and may very well be a sell). However, I think this viewpoint isn't taking the power of the upcoming entertainment pipeline into consideration. Who knows though, I could be dead wrong here. Tomorrow is my flexible re-investment day for May and I'm still planning on buying DIS with the accumulated dividends. I guess time will tell if those hedge fund guys/gals are right about this one or not. (I've also been FRIPing AT&T as of late too...guess I just don't see eye to eye with those on Wall Street)."
