After an 11% decrease in the price of the stock last week, many investors are asking whether or not to buy the stock. If you are interested in a constant stream of income, Microsoft (MSFT) might be a good bet. Over the past years, Microsoft has been increasing their dividend at a healthy pace. From 2010 to 2011, dividends have increased by 23.1 percent, from 2011 to 2012 it has increased by 25% and from 2012 to not it has increased by 15%. In addition Microsoft has a large amount of cash on hand, about 77 billion dollars in cash and only 12.6 billion in short term debt. On the other hand, recent earnings have shown lackluster sales of the Surface. Should Microsoft abandon the tablet market and focus more on their business products or should they try to outcompete?
