Zoom is a great platform. Unfortunately, it is very expensive solution as compared to their capable, and much lower cost, competitors Google and Microsoft. Like Pharma Co's, "one trick phony" tech firms live in a very challenging world. The return to the office was an inevitable fact and never in doubt. Hence, given Zoom is a one trick pony, I ask again why would anyone be surprised that its numbers fell off a cliff? What is surprising is that Crowd Strike was affected. As a CIO, I can unequivocally state that whether users are remote or not it doesn't make a darn bit of difference to the bad guys. Cybersecurity threats are not going away. Companies will continue to, and are, paying for leading edge security platforms which Crowd Strike and Sentinel clearly provide.A similar argument could be made for Service Now which as an IT Service management tool is needed whether folks are remote or not as well as Snowflake which is all about data.Notes via a user. $ZM, Zoom Video Communications, Inc. / H1
