This morning, US Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross in an interview to Bloomberg said that he along with the GOP congressman's will soon draft a new plan to fix The North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) with Canada and Mexico. He plans to start negotiations in the upcoming months and hopes that they would be completed later this year. The plan to fix NAFTA is part of the President's Trump campaign promise to bring more jobs to the US. I also should remind that due to the pressure from the government, a lot of big companies, especially from the automotive industry, decided to shift their manufacturing facilities from Mexico to the US to avoid the so-called 'border tax' that might be a part of the new NAFTA deal.As this topics gets more traction every day, do you think that NAFTA is going to get fixed later this year?Agree if you think that way.Disagree if you think that it will take longer than a year to fix it or if you think that the deal won't be fixed whatsoever. Also, don't forget to like this post and subscribe to Washington Insider.
