After 26 years of wedded bliss, one of televisions favorite cartoon couples is calling it splitsville. Marge and Homer Simpson from Fox's (NASDAQ: FOX) long-running and now cult series "The Simpsons" will legally divorce in the show's upcoming 27th season, according to one of the show's producers. "In the premiere, it’s discovered after all the years Homer has narcolepsy and it’s an incredible strain on the marriage. Homer and Marge legally separate, and Homer falls in love with his pharmacist, who’s voiced by Lena Dunham," Executive Producer Al Jean. Along with Dunham will come an array of guest voices, including more from HBO's hit show "Girls." "You never know what’s going to happen. You air a show and what people react to is not what you expect. What you learn is you have to be constantly prepared to moderate your course because you’re in an environment where feedback is constant," he said, according to ABC.
